Zoe also highlights her campaign for a serial perpetrator register, designed to track repeat domestic abuse offenders, which has gained significant public support with nearly 280,000 signatures. Zoe Dronfield, a survivor of domestic abuse and stalking, shared her harrowing experience on the Domestic Abuse Breakthrough Show. In 2014, she was nearly murdered by her ex-partner, Jason Smith, in an eight-hour brutal attack. Despite initial romantic feelings, Smith's behavior deteriorated, leading to stalking and harassment. Zoe highlighted the police's inadequate response and the family court's failure to protect her. She revealed that Smith had a history of abuse, affecting 13 other women, including a serving police officer. Zoe is now suing the police and raising funds for legal experts to fight for justice.
